SUMMARY: Activists in South Korea have filed a lawsuit against government
restrictions imposed on accessing the country's first gay Web site.
Activists in South Korea have filed a lawsuit against government restrictions
imposed on accessing the country's first gay Web site.
The activists maintain that access restrictions imposed on the site violate
the constitution, which guarantees freedom of expression, speech and of the
press.
The government believes that the gay Web site will corrupt the morals of
young people.
Government authorities have blocked access to the gay site from schools,
libraries, state offices and cybercafes. Koreans, however, can access the
site from their computers at home.
